The National Vaccine Information Center is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to educating parents and the general public about childhood diseases and vaccinations in order to prevent vaccine deaths and injuries. The Law Firm Directory below is a service of NVIC to assist those who are vaccine injured and the parents of vaccine injured children when searching for a law firm to represent claims in the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program or in civil court.

This directory may help you choose an attorney to evaluate your individual situation and determine if you have legal grounds to file a claim in the U.S. District Court of Washington, D.C. under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 that created the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) or file a product liability or malpractice claim in civil court. We have attempted to provide you with a starting point. We realize that when a family is considering legal action they need to find a lawyer with expertise in vaccine injury litigation.

Most of the attorneys who have asked to be listed in this Law Firm Directory have experience in the area of vaccine injury law. Some have more experience than others.

A questionnaire was mailed to attorneys and they were charged a fee for a listing in this Directory. This Directory does not contain a list of all the lawyers in the U.S. who handle vaccine injury cases. However, it is a good place to begin if you are considering legal action. You may want to contact several attorneys handling vaccine injury claims before making a final decision.

The National Vaccine Information Center does not endorse or recommend any of these law firms and does not recommend any one law firm over another one. We encourage you to approach the hiring of an attorney as an informed consumer and obtain information and ask questions until you feel comfortable with your choice.

The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is a federal program and you do not need to hire an attorney who lives in your state. This allows you to go outside of your state to hire the lawyer in the nation who best suits your needs. Each attorney may have a different way of dealing with fees and costs and you should find out what costs are involved before you hire an attorney. You may need to engage experts to evaluate medical records, costs of depositions, transportation, photocopying, etc. Be sure to carefully discuss this with any prospective attorney so you are not surprised by bills you did not anticipate. Determine ahead of time how these will be paid.
