Polio Vaccine Contamination Information Packet 

Questions surrounding the contamination of polio vaccines with monkey viruses and the impact on human health, particularly on the development of chronic immune and neurological dysfunction, are questions that remain unanswered today more than 40 years after the original contamination occurred. Research by independent scientists around the world has reported on the association between monkey viruses found in humans and the development of cancer and other chronic disease. 

There is no debate among scientists and physicians in government and industry that monkey viruses did, in fact, contaminate many lots of early killed and live polio vaccines used in experimental trials and in mass vaccination programs in the US between 1955 and 1963. There is continued debate about whether monkey viruses, some of which may be yet undetectable by current technology, have continued to contaminate live polio vaccines still grown on the kidney tissues of African green monkeys and administered to millions of children today. 

The biggest question, which must be answered without delay, is whether the contamination of polio vaccines allowed an inter-species transfer of monkey viruses into man where, in man, a genetic human-monkey hybrid known as HIV-1 was created. The truth about the origin of HIV-1 has dramatic consequences not only for the development of healing therapies for AIDS but also for plans to create an AIDS vaccine. There should be no higher public health priority than to investigate the association between contaminated polio vaccines and HIV-1.
